Emir Sanusi Reshuffles Palace, Elavates Late Bayero’s Son

Emir of Kano Muhammad Sanusi II, has elevated the late Bayero’s son, Aminu Ado Bayero, to the position of Wambai and Ahmad Ado Bayero to Sarkin Dawakin Tsakar Gida.
Besides, the son of late Tijjani Hashim, Galadiman Kano was appointed the Dan Isan Kano. Emir Sanusi announced the reshufflement at his palace over the weekend.
The appointment and reshufflement followed the death of Tijjani Hashim, Galadiman Kano, which allows for the vacant post to be filled.
The positin of Wambai which is the second in the hierarchy among emir’s sons would now be occupied by the late Bayero’s son, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, who until his elevation, occupied the post of Sarkin Dawakin Tsakar Gida.
Ahmad Ado Bayero would now relinguish his former position of Tafida to Abdullahi Sanusi, uncle to Emir Sanusi II.
Also, the son of late Tijjani Hashim, Galadiman Kano, Barde Tijjani Hashim, was appointed to the position of Dan Isan Kano, a former position occupied by Abdullahi Sanusi, uncle to the present Emir of Kano.
However, the senior councilor in the emirate, Alhaji Abbas Sanusi, another uncle to Emir Sanusi II, was elevated to the position of Galadiman Kano, the most senior position among the emir’s sons hierarchy.
Abbas Sanusi succeeded the late Tijjani Hashim, Galadiman Kano who died last week.
Meanwhile, despite challenges posed by insecurity, Emir Sanusi has performed the colourful Hawan Daushe.
Emir Sanusi had in the company of his district heads, palace guards, and protocols performed the Hawan Daushe, a journey from his house to ‘Babban Daki,’ a traditional house where every emir’s mother used to live in.
