PDP Governorship aspirant kidnapped in Nasarawa

Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, governorship aspirant Mr. Chris Mamman was kidnapped by unknown persons who allegedly attacked him at the palace of the Aren Eggon, headquarter of Nasarawa Eggon local government area, yesterday.

Director General of his Campaign Organisation, Mr. Nawani Aboki Ezekiel, made this known in an interview with newsmen in Lafia, the state capital.
According to Aboki, “ the governorship aspirant was attacked by a mob, on arrival at the palace. He was rescued and brought home by his supporters but some unknown persons came in and abducted him again at about 9pm.
“The last time we spoke with him was on Sunday night at about 8 pm. Shortly after that conversation his line stopped going through. As we speak now, we don’t know where he is.”
The DG alleged that some gubernatorial aspirants who were expected to meet with him at the Aren Eggon’s palace to settle their political differences were behind the wicked act.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PRO, for the Nasarawa State police command, ASP Ismaila Numan, confirmed the attack and said investigation was ongoing.
